Alberto Ulloa is considered one of the greatest painters of Dominican Republic for all time, he died in October, 2011. Herewith a description of Ulloa's art by art critic and writer Judet Hasbun:
"Ulloa’s style is one of gestures, voluminous paint, animated by playful fits favored by his dramatic strokes of color and polyvalent signs that intertwine as yarn does in a tapestry, a magic carpet within which it is possible for the Caribbean man to dream.
And this dream, apprehended in Ulloa’s canvases takes us through a succulent vine of possibilities and slopes, and each one, in its manner, divides again into succeeding slopes. He is a prolific and successful painter, of exquisite fluidic poetry. There are no limits to the capacity of the pictorial fantasy of Alberto Ulloa."
